The Woolverstone Wish Fund has been created in order to raise money to refurbish the Chemotherapy outpatient clinics and day-unit in the Woolverstone Wing of Ipswich Hospital. The aim is to increase the available space, improve privacy for patients and provide a more comfortable treatment area. They have a goal of £800,000.
A Charity Event is being held on 11th November in aid of the Ipswich Hospital’s Woolverstone Wish (Oncology Department) – this is a ticket only event and is already sold out. The event is being organised by Dawn Garrett, who herself has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time.
Dawn is seeking help and support by any means possible e.g. donation of vouchers/gifts/prizes for a raffle that she will also hold on the evening of the event. If you are able to help in any way possible then please contact Dawn on 07780 611410 or email@example.com
Anyone who has visited Woolverstone Outpatients at Heath Road Hospital, Ipswich either to receive chemotherapy or to accompany a patient can not doubt the dedication of the staff. However, the cramped area leaves a lot to be desired.
Well aware of this, and with no funds available for improvements, a support group has been set up to endeavour to raise enough funds to remodel the Oncology department and update the environment. They hope to make the area as comfortable as possible and also address some of the pressing capacity issues.
The target amount of £800,000 is the long term goal, but they hope to make small but significant improvements as the fund raising progresses.
If you would like to show your support you can purchase a wristband.
You can get yours from the Oncology Day Unit Reception for a mimum donation of £1.00 each.
Popular with adults and children alike, these are fast becoming the must-have fashion accessory of 2011.
