SUFFOLK is getting ready to host one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the Summer – and the organisation arranging it has launched a new website to ensure we all make the most of the occasion.
Organised by Suffolk Agricultural Association and ratified by Hurlingham Polo Association – the UK governing body for polo – two special matches will take place on Saturday June 30th at an event called ‘International Polo in Suffolk’. Teams from Norfolk and Suffolk will go head-to-head in a local derby, followed by an international match featuring teams representing England and Australia.
The website, which goes live on 10th February and can be found at www.internationalpolo.co.uk details ticket prices, a schedule for the day, hospitality packages and sponsorship opportunities, as well as information about the teams participating and a run-down of the rules.
Peter Over, Honorary Chair, Business Development Committee, said: “The popularity of polo has been increasing in recent years so we hope lots of people come along and have a really good time. We’ve worked really hard on getting the website ready so that we can sell tickets as well as making polo more accessible to people who have never experienced it before. It will be a great day out for the whole family.”
As well as the polo matches, there will be family entertainment and, of course, the half time tradition of spectators heading onto the playing field and ‘treading the divots’. There will also be a wide variety of trade stands catering for everyone’s shopping and leisure tastes, making this the perfect day out for the whole family.
Tickets for International Polo in Suffolk will cost from £20 per car and will be on sale on the website.
