Ipswich is being encouraged to Rock up in Red to help the British Heart Foundation (BHF) fight the UK’s biggest killer, heart disease.
The “wear red and help fight heart disease” call is going out to schools and businesses across the town.
Council staff will be leading the way in red on Friday 1st February, and MEP Richard Howitt is joining in at a “Rock Up In Red” aerobics class at Gainsborough Sports Centre at 10am.
There is also a Heart Run (in red) in Chantry Park on Saturday 2nd February at 9am. You can turn up, walk, dance or run, bring a dog, a friend or the family – as long as you wear something red!
The BHF joined forces with Ipswich Borough Council last year to establish Ipswich as a Heart Town and boost the BHF’s profile and funds.
