Ipswich’s Fore Street Food, Fashion & Flowers Market will be held this Sunday, 3rd March, from 10am to 4pm.
There will be food stalls, which will include cheese, preserves, pies and cakes. Fashion stalls will display clothing, jewellery, accessories, pictures and contemporary fashion items for the home, while flower stalls will exhibit flowers, plants (real and artificial) and garden products.
Organised by Ipswich Borough Council, this is a fantastic trading opportunity for local shops and market traders to offer a vibrant, attractive and exciting event for the public.
Historic Fore Street has more listed buildings than any other street in Ipswich and local businesses are looking forward to the event to show off this unique quarter of town, a link between the town centre and the Waterfront.
The area is now being marketed as Blackfriars to promote its history and heritage and to attract more visitors. The ruins of the Blackfriars monastery – one of five monasteries that once flourished in Ipswich – lie just off Fore Street.
