Framlingham Country Show

This year’s festival is a truly homespun celebration and invites the people of Suffolk and beyond to indulge in all things locally sourced and produced.

There will be several demonstration rings showcasing everything from gundog displays, dog shows, chainsaw carving demonstrations, dog agility to falconry and even geese herding and (as if that wasn’t enough!) the event will feature the best of Suffolk’s food and drink with live cookery demonstrations on both days from top local chefs, butchers and bakers.

workingdogWhy not try your hand at an airgun rifle range or watch the rural champions who will be demonstrating traditional countryside customs and agricultural methods at the Framlingham Country Show. Relax and eat some lunch or have a cup of coffee from one of the handpicked food catering stands whilst listening to a range of music that will come courtesy of some the Region’s most promising up and coming talent. Organisers will also in 2013 be introducing their Young Entrepreneurs and Young Producers area where you will have the chance to support the future and they are delighted to welcome the Central Suffolk Rabbit and Cavy Fanciers who will be holding their championships at the event. Don’t forget to have a ride in a helicopter over Framlingham whilst you are visiting the show – new in 2013.

The event is held in conjunction with the Suffolk Food, Drink and Music Festival

Go along and meet local and national producers; chat, sample and find out where your food comes from.

Take the opportunity to buy food that is made with love and not just for the sake of it. Take the time to meet producers who are passionate about what they do. And, while you’re here, why not watch a demonstration by a locally renowned chef or producer?

The show boasts a fun-filled day for all the family, with dog agility, sheep racing, an animal petting zoo and a children’s play area among the entertainment on offer. There will also be eight live bands playing daily, allowing you to sit back and relax in the beautiful surroundings of Framlingham College. Now in its third year, this year’s festival promises to be better than ever before with more shopping opportunities, more activities and more glorious sunshine! Join in on 13th and 14th April for this homespun celebration of all that Suffolk has to offer.
