The Otley College campus (of Easton and Otley College) is getting ready to stage their free family fun day on Saturday 11th May 2013. The Big Day Out is Otley’s version of a mini county show that opens at 10am and closes at 4pm.
Entrance is free and so is the programme and parking.
Last year over 4000 visitors came along. This year’s theme is entitled ‘Careers Start Here’ at an occasion that will be raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Guide Dogs.
Areas on site will include a marquee of crafts and plants, a food and drink village, cake stalls, a farmers market and loads more entertainment for all the family.
Land zorbing, dog shows, treasure hunt, face your fears, college tours, helicopter landing (weather permitting), mini land rovers, falconry displays will be on offer.
All departments will be on hand to chat to students, parents and guardians about the variety of courses that they have at Otley.
Sarah Cousins is one of the organisers of the event. She said, “As well as being a great day out for all the family, our Big Day Out gives visitors the chance to see the all the fantastic facilities that we have, talk to staff about career options and find out what makes studying at Otley such a unique and positive experience.”
“We hope people will feel inspired to support one of the biggest events in the Suffolk calendar,” she added.
