Portman Road Boot Sale Changes

Christmas now seems like a distance past and all that is left of the festivities are those credit card bills, so how would you like to earn some cash for yourself to help with some of those bills, whilst also supporting charities in the local area?

The Lion’s Club of Ipswich hold a weekly Car Boot Sale at Portman Road in Ipswich every Sunday.

The Club has recently relaunched the Boot Sale with new opening times from Sunday 2nd February, opening a little later in the morning, the sale now starts at 8am and will run until 12.30pm. Pitches a still just £5 each for cars and all profits from the Boot Sale go to local good causes and charities.

Selling you stuff at a Car Boot Sale is a great way to earn yourself a little extra pocket money, and at the Portman Road site there is an onsite catering van, plus plenty of toilets and the sale is on hard standing which means you don’t have to stand in a muddy field to sell your wares!

The Lions Club of Ipswich have been running a Boot Sale at the Portman Road site for over 20 years, members of the club volunteer their time to help staff the event, so that the club can give as much money as possible to the many charities and good causes that they support. There is no need to book your pitch, just turn up on a Sunday morning.

Don’t have anything to sell? Grab yourself a bargain and browse the many sellers stalls. The town centre location makes it really easy for visitors to get to, and there is just a 50p charge to park, again this money goes to charity.

It’s a win win situation, earn some cash for yourself and do your bit for charity at the same time!
