The skilful, varied and attractive work of new and established craft-workers, some 60 in all, will feature in the 43rd Suffolk Craft Society Annual Summer Show. On a theme of “New Beginnings” the show promises to impress and delight.
A firm favourite and fixture of the Aldeburgh summer scene, the Show at the Peter Pears Gallery in the High Street attracts thousands of visitors and showcases the exceptionally high quality work of the Society’s members who are drawn from all over Suffolk and just beyond.
The exhibits – almost all for sale – result from a rigorous selection process by a members’ panel and there are many additional items to buy in the exhibition shop.
Suffolk Craft Society Patron, Snape resident and owner of the London-based luxury leather goods company, Trevor Pickett, says:-
“The Society’s Annual Show is a highlight of the summer. It’s a chance to feast your eyes on the finest Suffolk craftwork and to take away something beautiful to enhance your home, or to give you, or those you love, personal pleasure”
Prices in the show range from just a few pounds for handmade bags, brooches, cards and unframed prints, to larger sums for furniture, framed prints and precious jewellery. There are also beautiful ceramics, glass, metal and woodwork, textiles and musical instruments.
