The churches of Central Ipswich, the “Heart for Ipswich” inter-church group and “Amnesty International” have again teamed up to organise a Question Time event for the Ipswich constituency ahead of the general election
The event takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 21st April at Christ Church United Reformed and Baptist church, Tacket Street, Ipswich IP4 1AU
Taking part will be: Ben Gummer (Conservative), David Ellesmere (Labour), Chika Akinwale (Liberal Democrat), Barry Broom (Green Party) and Maria Vigneau (UKIP). The event will be chaired by the Reverend Canon Paul Daltry, Anglican Minister for Community Engagement.
Attendees will be able to submit written questions when they arrive on the night.
Christ Church minister, Reverend Andrew Kleissner, said: “This is an opportunity for people to ask the ethical questions which particularly concern supporters of churches and charities, as well to ask about more mainstream issues.” Chairman of Ipswich Amnesty Group, Jenny Brabazon, said: “We had a good turnout of around 200 people for our 2010 question time event so we are hoping for a good attendance and some lively debate.”
There is no parking at the church itself but the Cox Lane, Tacket Street and Foundation Street public car parks are nearby.
