Felixstowe Carnival


Felixstowe Carnival weekend is a real highlight in the seaside town’s calendar, with two days packed full of family entertainment with something for everyone. This year the Carnival is on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th July

At 1pm on the Saturday the Carnival procession will start to wend it’s way through the town centre. This year the carnival theme is ‘Magic of the Movies’ and, spectators are sure for a treat as the colourful floats, pass by. Also included in the procession will be matching bands, majorettes and many extravagant costumes.

This year’s Carnival queen is 18 year old Holly Pitcher. Holy is taking her A levels this year at Felixstowe Academy Sixth Form. She is a volunteer at Level 2 Youth Project and is also a young leader at the 1st Walton Brownies.

Holly will be accompanied by her two Carnival Princesses, Libbie Perkins and Mia Wright. Libbie is 12 years old and loves animals. Her family have a dog called Bailey and a bearded dragon called Diesel. She enjoys fashion and likes to practice new hairstyles. Libbie also likes street dancing, drawing and hanging out with her friends. Mia is nine years old and goes to Colneis Junior School. She belongs to the Felixstowe Waves Swimming Club and she is also a member of the Brownies. Mia loves to go horse riding and has a favourite horse called Jigsaw.

The Carnival Weekend will come to a spectacular close with a fantastic Firework Display.
