The Electoral Registration Officer at the Council has a duty to conduct an annual canvass in order to maintain an up-to-date register of electors and ensure that all individuals in a household who are eligible to vote are registered to do so.
Household Enquiry Forms (HEFs) will be sent to all residential properties in the Ipswich area this week. You are able to respond by internet, telephone or by SMS text, as well as by returning the form in the envelope provided.
As required by the Government, if you do not respond, the council will be required to send you a reminder HEF and if you still do not respond the Council will, by law, need to visit your property to try to obtain a response. This costs the Council, and you, time and money.
