Two wonderful winter walks through Ipswich’s beautiful Holywells Park are taking place this Friday (5th January).
The FREE guided walks are being organised by the Ipswich Ramblers and are part of their Festival of Winter Walks. It is the first time the group have chosen Holywells as a venue and the event is supported by the Friends of Holywells Park and the Borough Council Rangers.
The Ramblers explained that taking a winter walk is a good resolution to have at the start of the year and this is an opportunity to find out more about the park’s history, conservation and wildlife. The walks are primarily for non-members.
The walks on Friday last around an hour and a half – starting at 9.30am and 11.30am from the Orangery (next to the Stable Block). Tea and coffee is available. Places are limited so please book by telephoning parks reception on 01473 433516.
Nearby parking is at Athena Hall off Duke Street.
