What’s on at Stonham Barns this June


With the days getting longer and the sun finally making an appearance now is the time to visit Stonham Barns. This month there are three exciting shows to keep you entertained.

Firstly Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd there is the Mini Barn Bash – a weekend for all Mini Club Members. Plus, on Sunday 3rd the first ever Suffolk Mini Show for the public to come and enjoy the hundreds of mini’s on display. There will be lots of exciting events planned including club displays, mini’s for sale area, traders and auto jumble, food and drink, show and shine and club games, music in the Barn and children’s activities. Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June is the Breckland Country Music Festival at Stonham barns – a weekend event for lovers of country music. If you enjoy dancing and music then this is the place to be, there are camping facilities if you wish to stay, lots of food and drink plus entertainment from Danny Lee Band, Nicky James, Kay D, Darren Busby, Jonny & Lynnette, Julie Dawn, Warren Dewitt, Barlow & Lee, Red Canyon, Ray Peters and The Smokey Turtle Band. At the end of the month History Alive takes place on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July. Come and see history come alive before your eyes and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of times gone past. With thrilling combat displays. Experience living history encampments from Viking warriors to American settlers and more!

There are 10 different re-enactment groups from stages of the periodic era that provide a complete living history from dark age medicine, what they ate and drank to crafts and skills along with armour and weaponry demonstrations. There will also be periodic music, entertainment, craft stalls, fun fair, food and drink. Camping is available if you wish to stay the weekend telephone 01449 711901 for prices. Ticket prices are adults £6, concessions £5, children £3, family ticket £15 (2 adults, 2 children).

For all the shows dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads (History Alive will feature loud gunfire).
