Racecourses’ horse-drawn carriage takes to the streets

More than £3,000 of prizes are to be given away on the streets of East Anglia next week to celebrate July, arguably the best month of the year, and herald the arrival of the summer’s racing highlight, The Moët & Chandon July Festival.

The roadshow starts on Tuesday 26 June in Peterborough, and travels round Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, before finishing in Norwich on Thursday 28 June. The carriage, pulled by two stunning Friesians will be travelling over 250 miles – reflecting the 250 horses that run at the three-day-festival – to bring a taste of the Moët & Chandon July Festival to members of the public.

The horse and carriage will be delivering July Festival fun, food, drinks and prizes to showcase what’s in store at the Adnams July Course on 12 – 14 July. Members of the public will be invited on a short carriage ride where they will receive a free glass of champagne, or a soft drink, and will be invited to sample exclusive July-themed nibbles created by head chef at Newmarket Racecourses, Damian Adams. The public will also have the opportunity to win seven amazing prizes by entering a prize draw; and even those who don’t win will not be left empty handed!
