Natasha Hamilton, who shot to fame as one third of Atomic Kitten, is to star as the Wicked Queen in the Ipswich Regent Theatre’s pantomime, Snow White, this Christmas.
Atomic Kitten sold more than 20 million records and celebrated a clutch of number one singles.
However, Natasha has performed at numerous royal engagements so perhaps they will have provided her with at least a little experience of how to play her latest role.
Natasha’s career spans 20 years and she is also a successful TV personality, businesswoman and proud mum of four.
In the theatre, Natasha took a lead role in the highly acclaimed West End Show “Blood Brothers” and her performance was met with standing ovations and rave reviews. She was later cast in the mesmerising role of Maureen in the Tony Award-winning musical “Rent”.
Natasha admits to having a competitive nature, winning numerous celebrity challenges on TV while raising substantial sums for her favourite charities. In 2015, Natasha appeared in “Celebrity Big Brother”.
Panto is not really new to her. She has played alongside Henry Winkler (aka The Fonz) in Peter Pan at the Liverpool Empire and was cast in Snow White in Southport Theatre.
More cast announcements for Snow White will be made next month, so keep an eye on the Regent Theatre’s social media accounts for more details Facebook/IpswichRegent and Twitter @IpswichRegent
