SWINGING sextet and Britain’s Got Talent favourites The Jive Aces will appear at Spa Pavillion in Felixstowe on Thursday 13th September at 7:30pm with their spectacular high-energy stage show “Jump Jive and Wail” with special guest jazz vocalist Amy Baker and the JiveSwingDotCom Lindy Hopers dance troupe .
The Jive Aces have played to sell-out crowds at Ronnie Scott’s, Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, Glastonbury Festival and the London Olympics, and have performed in over 40 countries, including major theatre tours in the USA.
Best known as the first live band to reach the final rounds of Britain’s Got Talent, where they even managed to cheer up grumpy Simon Cowell.
That was followed with a performance in front of Queen as part of the diamond jubilee celebrations and at both the Olympic and Paralympic celebrations as they established themselves as the UK’s top jive and swing band.
Renowned for their high-energy jump and spectacular stage show in their hallmark yellow suits, the band’s repertoire stretches from the timeless tunes of the swing era to the glitz of the Rat Pack, with a dash of rhythm & blues, swinging jazz and the roots of Rock ‘n’ Roll. They feature songs made famous by such greats as Louis Prima, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Sammy Davis Jr. and Ella Fitzgerald along with a wide selection of superb originals taken from their albums.
They will share the stage with jazz voice of Amy Baker, whose album has been played on BBC radio, adding even more glam and sparkle to this very energetic show. The JiveSwingDotCom Lindy Hopers will take your breathe away with old time dance moves.
The Jive Aces have also worked with many of the top names in the business, including John Travolta, Status Quo, Isaac Hayes, Van Morrison, Priscilla Presley and Buddy Greco, who died this month.
Other TV appearances include Strictly Come Dancing, Children in Need, Good Day Los Angeles and The Alan Titchmarsh Show. Their multi award winning music video “Bring Me Sunshine” has gone viral with over 3 million views on YouTube including the prestigious Telly Award. A U.S. doctor has even been prescribing the video to lift patients’ spirits
