Ipswich: Festive bin collection changes

Ipswich residents are being reminded that their bin collections will change over the Christmas and New Year period.

There will be no brown bin collections on or between 24th December and 7th January as crews concentrate on picking up extra waste and recyclables after Christmas. Brown bins will resume on Tuesday 8th January – please place your real Christmas trees next to your brown bin.

Blue bin collections will change during Christmas week. If your normal collection day would be Tuesday 25th December it will be collected on Christmas Eve, Monday 24th. During that week, the rest of the collections will be a day later – i.e. 26th December rounds will take place on Thursday, Thursday’s bins on Friday and Friday’s bins on Saturday 29th December.

Black bin collections from 1st January will all be a day later than normal (Tuesday’s bins will be emptied on Wednesday, Wednesday’s on Thursday, Thursday’s on Friday and Friday’s on Saturday 5th January.

Normal collections will resume on Tuesday 8th January.

Please put your bins out for collection by 6am.
