Folk East 2019

FolkEast will appear once again, like Suffolk’s very own Brigadoon, on the Glemham Hall estate for three blissful days on the 16th, 17th and 18th August 2019.

The line-up is hand-picked from first class national, international and local folk artists performing across seven stages.  This year orgainisers are delighted to welcome Richard Thompson, Cara Dillon and Karine Polwart to headline the sunset stage and Blackbeards Tea Party, John Smith and Banter amongst a plethora of fine artists and musicians.

With the feel of a large village fete and set amidst a Constable-esque landscape, there is plenty to sing and dance about.  Locally sourced food and drink at fair prices, heritage and arts, games and curiosities, children’s trail and magic lights and the coming together of like-minded folk to create something rather special.

Comments that keep coming in about FolkEast are: ‘friendly’ ‘top quality’ ‘attention to detail’ ‘beautiful setting’, ‘great choice of food’, ‘amazing line-up’ ‘so much to do’  ‘great live sound’ ‘hot showers’  ‘festival ale – £3 a pint ?!’ ‘quirky’  ‘relaxed’ ‘un-hurried’

Tickets are available online, by post and in person: Advance Adult: Weekend £120, Day £45. Children 11 and under are free. Camping, and Glamping, available. No dogs. There is access to plenty of certified drinking water on site so please bring your own refillable bottle.
