Stowmarket Carnival 2019

This year is the 58th Stowmarket Carnival and the event, which is run by just a small team of only 9 volunteers, has proved a firm favourite in the town’s event calendar.

The Carnival starts on the 20th July with an amazing procession which will leave PPG car park at around 12.30pm and travel along past Piles Meadow, through the town centre and then left towards the Recreation Ground.

Once the procession reaches the Recreation Ground proceedings will be officially opened by Mayor of Stowmarket, Paul Ekpenyong at 2.45pm the fun then will continue from them until Sunday evening.

There will be stage acts, arena acts, a fun dog show, a pet show, a car and bike show, craft stalls, food and drink vendors.
The fun fair will be in town to support the Carnival weekend. There are children’s entertainers that are all free.

There is a small fee to enter the carnival on both days as the event does cost a lot off money to host. However, organisers say that with your help of visitor’s support and donations they can keep Stowmarket Carnival going for years to come.
