WIN: Tickets to Summer Forest Concerts

Great Ticket GiveAway: The Forestry Commission has given Ipswich24 a pair of tickets to see RICK ASTLEY and CLEAN BANDIT to give away to lucky readers.

Rick Astley will be appearing as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission where acts perform in spectacular woodland locations around the country.
Soulful-voiced pop icon and multi-million selling artist, Rick Astley has had a lot to celebrate. With his first No 1 album in twenty-nine years, titled ‘50’, the Brit Award winning singer has pulled off one of pop’s most remarkable comebacks. ‘50’ has gone gold, has been well received by fans and critics alike, and includes the hit singles ‘Keep Singing’, ‘Angels On My Side’ and ‘Dance’.
Astley was just twenty-one years old when he unleashed the iconic ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ – few debut singles have had the same impact. It became the UK’s biggest selling single of the year, going on to hit No 1 in 16 countries. The song became the centrepiece of debut album ‘Whenever You Need Somebody’, which sold an astonishing 15 million copies worldwide, cracking the US Top 10 in the process. Holding the distinction of being the first male solo artist to see his first eight singles reach the UK Top Ten, the hits continued with ‘Together Forever’; ‘She Wants To Dance With Me’; ‘Take Me To Your Heart’; ‘Hold Me In Your Arms’ and ‘Cry For Help’.
As part of Forest Live, Rick Astley and special guest Rumer, will be appearing in this region at Thetford Forest, on Saturday 1st July.

Clean Bandit have announced a special woodland gig as part of Forest Live, the summer concert series organised by the Forestry Commission.
Formed in Cambridge in 2008, Clean Bandit’s debut album ‘New Eyes’ included ‘Extraordinary’ (feat. Sharna Bass) and the No 1 smash hit ‘Rather Be’ (feat. Jess Glynne) a track that took the band into the international mainstream and gave them industry recognition with a Grammy Award for ‘Best Dance’ recording. Following on from this success, 2016 saw the release of two massive hit singles, ‘Tears’ (feat. Louisa Johnson) and ‘Rockabye’ (feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie). The latter’s popularity is reflected in playlist dominance and the formidable status of being No. 1 on the UK official singles chart for 9 consecutive weeks, the longest reign by a UK artist since 1994. It has been No. 1 in thirty countries around the world and the song’s achievement has been cemented with Brit Award nominations for ‘British Single’ and ‘British Artist Video’.
As part of Forest Live, Clean Bandit plus guests, will be appearing in this region in Thetford Forest, near Brandon, Suffolk on Sunday 2nd July.
