Written by Arthur Miller, All My Sons is a story of love, family and secrets.

Set in America in 1947 the Keller family are living with the ghosts of World War II. Kate Keller is living in hope that her son, who was reported as missing in action, will return home one day. Her husband Joe, is a successful businessman, who did his bit for the war effort by supplying parts for the fighter planes, however he holds a dark secret that will change the family forever.

Their other son, Chris has always lived in the shadow of his missing brother and when he falls in love with Annie, his brother’s sweetheart, and she agrees to marry him, his mother Kate just can’t come to terms with the fact that everyone has moved on with their lives and that, in fact, her son may be dead and will never come home.

Pamela-Raith-Photography_All-My-Sons_006All My Sons is a powerful piece of theatre brought to life by some incredible actors. The believable performance on stage of the family dynamics and how their lives affect those around them is brilliant and leaves the audience with a real empathy for the characters.

A stunning set forms the backdrop to an amazing piece of work by the Talawa Theatre Company. Fantastically cast, there is no weak link in this production, just a breathtaking performance from some very talented actors.

All My Sons is one of those stories that draws the audience in with a gentle start, where you get to know the characters, then, as the secrets start to unravel it hits you with a bang and leaves you speechless.

I know it’s said often by reviewers, but this performance really is a must see.

All My Sons will be at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich until Saturday 21st February. To book tickets contact the Box Office on 01473 295900 or online at www.wolseytheatre.co.uk
