Ipswich Mela Cancelled

July 8th, 2012 by
Categories: Ipswich News

The Ipswich Mela has been called off due to the high rainfall over night.

Part of the Ip-Art festival, the mela was to have taken place on Christchurch Park this Sunday (8th July). Excessive rainfall since the small hours have resulted in flooding of the site and therefore, reluctantly the organisers have had to cancel the event.

It is now hoped that the Mela can be rescheduled for later in the year, a decision will be made next week.

The Wimbledon Men’s Final on a large screen in the park outside the Mansion however is still going ahead
