Lark in the Park 2008 – Gippswyk Park
Hundreds of people flocked to the town's Gippeswyk Park for a family fun day "Lark in the Park" organised by the Chantry Resident's Association.

Attractions in the arena included: The Silver Spinners majorettes, Daniel Hammond magician, Mirgissa Egyptian dancers, its-a-knockout tournament. Side attractions: 5-a-side football and New for this year The Torwood Wheelers.
Around the park were bouncy castles, rides on a hovercraft with Essex HovPods, charity stalls, children’s rides, car boot, games, penalty shoot out with the community caretakers, face painting and compereing the whole event Patchy Matt disco.


Essex Hover Pods were on hand to give hovercraft rides around the park




Youngsters from Oskar Foxtrot Productions, Suffolk's only touring theatre company for young people giving a peformance.
