Comedy, spectacular sets and extravagant costumes abound in this enchanting tale of magic beans, giants, heroes, villains and of course the lovable DAISY THE COW. This year’s traditional family pantomime will be a glittering production of the classic fairy tale – Jack and the Beanstalk.

The Ipswich Regent are delighted to announce a star studded cast:
Dame Trott will be played by the witty and wacky KEN MORLEY, best known for his role of Reg Holdsworth in Coronation Street.

Jack, the hero of the pantomime will be played by teen heartthrob ANTONY COSTA from the boyband Blue – whom recently appeared in sell out concerts at the Emirates Stadium, London.

The villain of the panto will be played by RAVEN alias James Mackenzie form CBBC’s BAFTA award winning Raven.

Silly Billy, Jack’s brother welcomes a return by popular demand to the Regent of CARL JOHNS who was last seen as Smee, playing opposite Brian Blessed in Peter Pan.

One of the highlights of the show will be the thrilling appearance of GIANT BLUNDERBORE – the largest giant to be seen on any English pantomime stage. Add to this; an absent minded King, a beautiful Princess, some fairy magic, a great cast of dancers, singers and children, the music of Allan Rogers and Brenda Lefevere’s book and direction (the creative team behind last year’s smash hit pantomime Aladdin) – all combine to make this a pantomime not to be missed.
