 Over
50 cyclists, from tiny tots to the more mature, joined the
NSPCC Bike Ride on Sunday Sept 16th. Alton Water played
host to the event, organised in support of the Suffolk Project
and NSPCC in general. Many participants hired cycles from
the Alton Water Hire Shop, though most arrived with everything,
including the ‘will’ to cycle more than one
lap, therefore, we must congratulate the ‘first’
team to leave (pictured top left), plus Harry Kemp, Michael
Kennedy, Elayne Grover, Declan and Northgate pupils Michael
and Harry… all, of whom, managed at least two laps,
on what proved to be a beautiful day.
Supported by Riverside Press of Ipswich, Benevolus.com (charity
Ecards) and Anglia Water, this fundraising ‘FIRST’
for East Suffolk proved to be an excellent day out for participants
and onlookers. The 2008 event is scheduled for late September/early
October – the organisers plan even more challenges,
so keep an eye on progress….. for information please
