AUGUST
THIS YEAR’S SUMMER YOUTH PROJECT
SUNDAY 3RD – SATURDAY 16TH AUGUST
The Spa Pavilion Summer Youth Project, now in its sixth
year, provides an opportunity for budding young stars in
the local area aged between 9 and 23 to stage and perform
a full-scale musical under expert professional supervision.
Over a two week period the cast are put through an intensive
rehearsal schedule, learning all stage techniques including
performance, lighting, sound and music. In the second week
the show is performed to the paying public in full costume.
Following a hugely successful staging of West End Queen
tribute show “We Will Rock You” in 2007 The
Spa Pavilion Theatre will this year be performing
“Summer Holiday” in the stage adaptation
of the 1963 film by Michael Gyngell and Mark Haddigan from
Wednesday 13th – Saturday 16th August.
Application forms are available now. Auditions will be held
at The Spa Pavilion on Sunday 4th May 2008.

Joe Pasquale
Last year Joe decided to go on sabbatical to go in search
of the ancient muffin of San Miguel. During his travels
running with the great white elephants of Africa, he spent
his time living with a tribe who named him ‘He Who
Runs with the Elephants’. He learnt many things...
that ICI made enough carpet fibre to go round the world
twice and it’s impossible to lick your own elbow.
He’ll be passing everything he has learnt this year
to his adoring public. If you’ve never seen a show
that makes any sense then make this one your first!

is arguably their trademark. However, this particular show
is different……not only will it be their hilarious
comedy suitable for all of the family, but it will feature
a Question and Answer element! So prepare your questions
(keep them clean) and get out your hankies to wipe away
tears of laughter.
