Carol Lester of organisers, Gable Events, said “It was a fabulous day and the feedback from all the Festival crews and visitors has been excellent. It was great to see so many local people enjoying themselves down at Nicholas Everitt Park, watching the racing and taking part in the bankside activities. The enthusiasm shown by the crews was superb and we are pleased the Dragon Boat Festival has become such an eagerly anticipated annual spectacle in the regional events calendar. We are grateful for the money raised for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and appreciate the support we received this year from Waveney District Council, Broadview Caravan Site, Marriott Sprowston Manor and the Venue of Performing Arts who put on three spectacular performances for our visitors on the day. We have had lots of people enquiring about entering a team into next year’s Festival in May 2011”
