Waterfront Market

The popular Ipswich Waterfront Market returns to the town’s riverside setting on Sunday 15th May, and Deben Events, organisers of the event, say that there will be over 50 stalls and pitches reaching along the Waterfront from the Old Custom House towards DanceEast’s Jerwood House.

Sarah Hill of Deben Events, said, “It’s a year since we did the first markets on Ipswich Waterfront and they were a great success, bringing hundreds of people to this area of the town.” She continued, “We’re determined to build on that success by bringing a really different shopping experience to the town. This is about finding individual pieces, one-off items, fashions and furniture in a really relaxed setting.”

The Ipswich Waterfront Market will have an exciting mix of traders who will sell everything from classic fashions, vintage fabric and mid-Century furniture, to designer items and shabby chic homewares. There will also be locally made jewellery, handmade fashions, tee shirts and glass.

Jacqueline Cassidy, fellow organiser at Deben Events, commented, “There’s a real buzz on the Waterfront and we’ve had lots of positive comments from the businesses and restaurantsthere, so it’s also a benefit to them.”

Since the team at Deben Events sent out invitations to traders, they have had a great response with stalls and pitches booked up in a matter of days. Sarah said, “It shows that Ipswich Waterfront is a great location for the market and it works well for traders and visitors alike.” She added, “We’re really looking forward to it and will be holding another event later in the year during October.”
