Call for 5-a-side Football Teams

The Ramada Encore Ipswich hotel is organising a corporate charity football tournament this month in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice…..and is calling out to local businesses in the area to submit a 5-a-side team and battle it out for the winning title!

Taking place on Saturday the 18th of June, from 11am until 3pm, at the new ‘Goals’ football centre on College Street, Ipswich, organisers at the hotel are looking for a total of  16 corporate teams to take part in the 5-a-side tournament – with teams from Suffolk County Council,  St Elizabeth Hospice, Legal & General, BT , Willis and Ramada Encore Ipswich already signed up to take part.

To enter the competition each team is asked to donate £50.00– will all proceeds going to the St Elizabeth Hospice which helps provide support and care for those with a progressive illness.

Melissa Neisler Dickinson, Sales Manager for Ramada Encore Ipswich who is organising the event  said: “We decided to organise this tournament to help support St Elizabeth Hospice in the excellent work that they do. We have a number of teams signed up for the event however are looking for more  5-a-side teams from local businesses to take part- the more teams we have involved the more money we can raise for such a worthwhile cause. It should be a fun day out for all concerned and we really are urging local businesses to get behind the initiative and take part”.

Carl Brooks, of St.Elizabeth Hospice said: “We are really grateful for the support of the Ramada Encore Ipswich in organising the competition. St Elizabeth Hospice needs to raise £6.6 million pounds per year which works out at £13 per minute and we rely on the majority of our income from donations. We will be submitting a team on the day and are very much looking forward to playing!”
