Magnets Draw Crowds

The Magnets are a six-piece London man band, who’s unbelievable acappella antics have made them one of the hottest – and most original – acts around and they come to the New Wolsey in Ipswich this July.

They’ve become TV stars overnight from the T-Mobile flashmob adverts and Comic Relief; they’ve played to world leaders (but happily not dictators unlike, for example, Beyonce) and they have been lauded by the world’s media.

Girls want to have ssss….. singing lessons with them
Boys want to have singing lessons with them too
Record labels are hounding the band described by The Guardian as “a sonic phenomenon” for their signatures on recording contracts

No wonder they’ve gone to Australia for a series of sold-out shows through June.

As soon as they come back to Blighty, the band heads to Glastonbury, playing the Acoustic Stage on Sunday 26th June. In July there are various UK shows including a support to Blondie at Kew Gardens on July 11th. Their version of ‘Call Me’ is quite something…

Through August The Magnets play the Edinburgh Festival, alongside their friends Al Murray and the magnificent Alex Horne. And in September and October the band embarks on a further 2 months of touring across the UK.
