Making Scrapbooks at Museum

Show your green side and let your creativity flow with a visit to the Natural History Museum, Colchester when you’ll have the chance to make your own recycled scrapbook.

Join in one of the many workshop sessions to create your very own special scrapbook. Using everyday recycled materials such as cardboard and wrapping paper, customize your scrapbook to make it colourful and personalised.

You can add objects like leaves and other items uncovered on a stroll through the park. These items could give your book that added finishing touch it needs and bring to life a nature theme. Why not grab some extra inspiration on what to include from the exhibits that are on display within the museum?

Afterwards you’ll be able to take your scrapbook home with you where you might like to use this as a photo album, a diary or a place to keep memories of the fun you had over the summer holiday, the choice is yours.

Visit the Natural History Museum on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 August to get involved. Sessions are at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm and cost £1.50 per child.

Events like this are very popular, so booking is essential. Book your place by either calling on 01206 282940 or dropping into Hollytrees Museum, Colchester.
