Ipswich Tourist Office has Bed but no breakfast

Staff at Ipswich Tourist Information Centre are used to booking accommodation in local hotels and Bed & Breakfasts for their customers – But now they have a bed in their office!

It’s not that staff are sleeping on the job these days – or that they are offering their own Bed and Breakfast facilities – it is part of an exhibition set up by staff from the Novotel, Ipswich.

As Tourist Information Centre Manager, David Stainer, explained,“We have an exhibition area at the Tourist Information Centre which we are pleased for local artists, organisations, and businesses to use. Often these are art or photographic displays. However when the Novotel approached us we were happy for them to have the space – and a bed sitting there for all to see is a quirky talking point”.

Serhan Ilker, Novotel Ipswich Manager said, “Firstly I would like to thank the Tourist office for this opportunity they have given us, it is much appreciated. We are at the Tourist Office promoting our special offer of 15% off accommodation (subject to Terms and Conditions) so be sure to visit them to pick up the information.

“Here at the Novotel Ipswich we endeavour to make every guest’s stay in the hotel a memorable one, and I rest assured that my staff will do everything in their best interest to ensure this is the case. We are happy to go that extra length to achieve great customer satisfaction.’’

The exhibition, and further information about the Novotel, it’s services and facilities, will be at the Tourist Information Centre, in St Stephens Church, St Stephens Lane in the town, until Friday 9th September. The Centre is open from 9.00am – 5.00pm.
