Go along to Hollytrees Museum this October half-term and find out more about the Victorians and the birth of the modern day camera. Drop-in to the museum between Wednesday 26th and 28th October to have a go at making your own version of the earliest version of the modern day camera – the pinhole camera!
Using a mixture of materials get creative with the help of the museum staff and have fun creating your own pinhole camera. Look through the lens and see the way it changes your view of the world!
This pinhole camera event is very popular and booking is essential, please call 01206 282940 today! Sessions are being held at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm at the small cost of just £2 per child.
If you go along on the Wednesday 26th October you could also take part in our Strike a Pose Victorian Style fun event.
You can get dressed-up in Victorian costume in the surroundings of Hollytrees Museum and have your photograph taken by a professional photographer! The photograph will be taken in a sepia print to look like it was taken in the Victorian period. The sepia print photo could be of just you, your family or a group of friends!
