Christmas Dieting Advice

With Christmas just around the corner, the party season is getting into full swing and a slimmer from Ipswich is ready to celebrate in style after losing four stone and ten pounds in weight.

Pauline has dropped five dress sizes, since joining the Sllimming World Group at Pinewood Community Hall in Ipswich, and she’s looking forward to slipping into a party dress for the festive season.

I’ve always thought of Christmas as the time of year to dress up in something gorgeous and now I know I’ll have lots of fun finding that perfect outfit.

And Pauline is confident that with the help of her Slimming World group and Consultant Liz Torrie who runs the group, her new self is here to stay.

“With Slimming World you don’t follow a diet temporarily and then go back to your old habits when you get to the weight you want to be,” she says, “I’ve got a completely new lifestyle now, I fill up on delicious healthy meals made from scratch with fresh food and I’m much more active – I can’t imagine not going to my Slimming World group because we have such a laugh together. I know this is me from now on.”

“People might think it’s a bit of a daft time to be joining a slimming club right now, just a few weeks before Christmas, but that’s not true.” Says Liz, “In fact, it’s a great time to start slimming – there’s still time to lose a dress size before Christmas and because the eating plan is so generous you can plan to enjoy all your parties and treats and still lose weight.”

If you would like to drop a dress size or more before Christmas, come along to the a Slimming World group, which Liz runs every week at Pinewood Community Hall and Revolution in the Buttermarket.

Liz’s Thursday classes, that have previously been held at Betty’s Night Club have recently moved to a new venue, Revolution in the Buttermarket in Ipswich. The times for classes will be staying the same, at 10am, 12pm and 1pm.
The reason for the move is the lack of available seating for all of the members that attend the group.

Liz would like to express her thanks Ali and Trish at Betty’s Night Club for making her group so welcome and accommodating them so well.

“Trish really went out of her way to help us and to make the members comfortable, what a terrific manager she is” says Liz, “We will miss her”.

Betty’s Nightclub is tucked away behind the Golden Lion Hotel on the Cornhill, and has entertainment on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“We are now looking forward to greeting members at our new venue at Revolution” says Liz, “And filling up the seats with abundance with both new and past members!”
