Dogs walk in aid of charity

Holiday Dogs Group Walks (sponsored by Hudson Signs) are designed to give dogs and owners a chance to meet and greet, and to basically go for a group walk together.  Walks are open to any age or ability and are at various locations around Suffolk, usually lasting around 1 hour to 1 hour 30mins.  Also attending the walks is a qualified dog listener, Rachael from Talking Paws, who’s always happy to answer any questions you may have!

Due to the popularity of these walks, Holiday Dogs, with the help of www.doghousesuffolk.co.uk decided to raise money for the Animal Health Trust to help them with their investigations into Seasonal Canine Illness.

The latest walk was held at Felixstowe where they received a great turnout of dogs and owners all ready to partake in a walk across the Languard Fort area.

Despite the cold weather, a thoroughly enjoyable walk was had by all, the dogs enjoyed running around together, completely oblivious to the fact that they were raising money for the Animal Health Trust.

Two dogs in the group had contracted Seasonal Canine Illness earlier on in the year and luckily now back to health, able to join in the fun of the walk.

The walk ended by giving out some very deserving goodies to all participating dogs that were kindly donated by ‘we’re for dogs’, (Pedigree’s facebook page), they went down a real treat!

Mary-Ann from Holiday Dogs said “The walk has been a great success, it’s a lovely way of raising money and having a great time as well!”

With almost £300 raised today, Holiday Dogs Home Boarding, with the help of www.doghousesuffolk.co.uk will continue with the regular walks, raising money for the Animal Health Trust. The next walk will be held 5th February 2012, for a walk at Rendlesham Forest, meeting at 11am at Butley Corner Car Park.
