Community radio station, Felixstowe Radio 107.5fm, is organising a special evening of music at the Spa Pavilion on the 27th January 2012. The organisers have announced that Matt Cardle, the winner of the X-Factor 2010 is the very ‘Special Guest’.
“When Matt Cardle told us that he would be coming along to help us with the event we knew that we had the potential to really put on a great show and raise a large amount of money for the EACH charity” said Martin Sawyer, one of the Felixstowe Radio organisers.
In addition to Matt coming along, they have managed to recruit some of the hottest local singers/bands from across the region. Bits ‘n Pieces, a 60s/70s cover band who formed five years ago are regulars at charity events and support Cancer Research, the EACH appeal, to name just a few, are renowned for really getting the audience going!
Harry Isaac Presley Operation will be making sure that everyone has a fantastic time, led by Simon Goldsmith, all seven of the group are hugely excited about performing on the Spa’s stage! Cediq Havana, originally from South Africa and who has appeared on Sky TV will be performing with his four-piece band, playing his songs from his debut album, and for the first time, a specially written song which it is hoped can be released as a single in aid of the EACH appeal.
Lucy Sampson, a singer/songwriter from Suffolk will also be playing an acoustic set, giving her the opportunity to stun the audience with her beautiful voice.
The Stage Door Youth Group will be singing ‘Where Ever You Are’, and the Marwyn School of Dancers will be entertaining throughout the evening.
The event will be a real showcase and promises to be an evening to be remembered by all!’
