Patrick Monahan invites you to hug him

‘Irish-Iranian-Teeside’ comedian Patrick Monahan is continuing to tour the UK throughout the spring of 2012 with his brilliant hit new show ‘Hug Me I Feel Good’. Laugh and be hugged at the same time! You can be hugged as well when the show comes to the Felixstowe Spa (BUY TICKETS)

2011 was an amazing year for Patrick …
• He won the ITV1 comedy talent series ‘Show Me The Funny’.
• His debut DVD ‘Patrick Monahan Live’ was released in November.
• He won the 2011 Forth Radio Best Stand-Up People’s Choice Award.
• He was in ‘The Wrestling’ which won an Edinburgh 2011 Fringe First Award.
• He was nominated as Best Newcomer for the 2012 Loaded Lafta Awards.
• He was the official ambassador for the ‘Love Middlesbrough’ campaign which saw Middlesbrough officially made a city for 2012!

His many TV appearances in 2011 included ‘The Comedy Annual’ (ITV1) ‘Loose Women’ (ITV1) ‘Daybreak’ (ITV1) ‘The Wright Stuff’ (C5) and ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’ (C5). The 3rd of March 2012 will see Patrick take part in BBC1’s ‘Let’s Dance’ for Sport Relief!

Patrick is a superb anecdotal comedian – having been brought up in Middlesbrough by his Iranian Mother and Irish Dad he has many hilarious and engaging stories about his heritage. ‘He has the dark looks and stubble of the Middle East, married to the charm of the Irish and the sense of fun of the Teessider. Omid Djalili meets Dave Allen you might say.’ DAILY MAIL

Since Patrick started performing stand-up he has had a meteoric rise up the comedy ladder and has gone from ‘open spot’ to headliner in an incredibly short length of time. He is now a regular MC and headlining act at the top London and UK comedy clubs including the prestigious Jongleurs circuit and the Comedy Store. In addition to this Patrick is in huge demand on the Corporate Circuit as an After Dinner Speaker as well as an Awards Host.

‘Monahan’s tightrope walk between laughter and embarrassment singles him out as a Star-In-the-making’.
DAILY TELEGRAPH

‘You might just want to smuggle him out under your coat…instantly loveable, wonderfully unique’.
METRO

‘Fascinating on the topic of his upbringing. He, more than anyone in Edinburgh, is taking proper comedy – observational and personal, engaging and genuinely enlightening – forward. He is worth seeing in any political climate’.
