Nominations open for NHS trust awards in Norfolk and Suffolk

Members of the public are being asked to highlight the achievements of health care workers in the region by nominating staff from Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust for an award.

Anyone – including the general public, service users, family carers, partner organisations and staff members – can make a nomination for the Trust Awards 2012. The awards will be an opportunity for the Trust to say a big thank you to staff for their skills and commitment.

The categories for the Trust Awards 2012 are:

Volunteer of the Year Award (for volunteers only)
Unsung Hero Award – non-clinical
Unsung Hero Award – clinical
Outstanding Community Contribution to the Trust Award (open to anyone, not just Trust staff)
Success in Partnership Working Award
The George Pearce Equality and Diversity Award
Leadership and Motivation Award
Light Bulb Award
Exceptional Contribution Award
The Chair’s Award
Nominations can be made online at www.surveymonkey.com/NFSTawards or by requesting a nomination form from Bernadette on 01603 421409.

The awards are being funded through sponsorship from external companies that the Trust frequently work with. This means that any costs to the Trust will be kept to an absolute minimum.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Friday 6 July 2012 hosted by special guest Becky Jago, from ITV Anglia Tonight.

Nominations close at 5pm on 30 March 2012 and nominations submitted after this time cannot be accepted. Full details, including nomination criteria, eligibility criteria and the rules and processes, can be found at www.nsft.nhs.uk.
