This Sunday, April 1, there is a great free chance to have fun in Felixstowe’s Easter Eggstravangza which will give people the opportunity to win a great prize and find out more about the town at the same time.
A treasure hunt is being held between 11am and 4pm and on offer is not just a giant Easter egg but also a free family meal in Abigail’s Buttery at the Orwell Hotel.
“This promises to be a great day out for all the family, with not just the fun and excitement of the treasure hunt but also a whole load of attractions taking place at Felixstowe’s great new outdoor entertainment hub, The Canopy,” said Cllr Geoff Holdcroft, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Economic Development.
“There will be a range of Easter-themed stalls, children’s activities, live cooking demonstrations from the head chef of the Orwell Hotel, majorettes wowing the crowds, and music from Escape Reality.
“The whole day is free and should be a great start to the Easter holidays, and I would like to thank all those who have helped make this day possible , which are just one of the many reasons why Felixstowe is now such an exciting place and really does offer Great Days by the Sea,” added Cllr Holdcroft.
The treasure hunt will take place around the town centre and the historic Spa Gardens, and starts at Great Eastern Square. There are no age limits on who can take part and the route is fully accessible, so anyone with a wheelchair or a pram or buggy can get completely involved as well.
