Otley College Taster Day

Otley College will be hosting a careers taster day on Saturday 21st April 2012 between 9am and 4pm.

The occasion will be a chance for students and parents to come along to the college, chat to tutors, experience course taster sessions and tour the campus based eight miles outside of Ipswich.

A new One Stop Shop team has recently been put in place in the student services department, and they will all be on hand to offer additional advice and guidance to prospective learners at the occasion.

The One Stop Shop includes a dedicated careers advisor, a welfare officer, two student advisors and a transport expert.

Head of the team, Greer Hill, said, “This specific event is for students who are interested in further education courses or apprenticeships – however – information will also be available on our University Campus Suffolk degree programmes, teacher training and leisure learning options.”

“The morning will be a chance for those who don’t know anything about the college to come and have a look around and experience a flavour of some of the courses that we teach. Invariably, when people visit Otley for the first time they are surprised at how big the college is, as well as the range of courses on offer, and I am sure that this event will be no different.”

For more information about this event, please contact student services on 01473 785543 or email info@otleycollege.ac.uk

Otley College offers course options in animal studies, apprenticeships, business solutions, commercial, construction, engineering, higher education, horse studies, land and countryside studies, leisure learning, management training, pre-foundation studies, sport and outdoor education, teacher training and lots more.
