A magical dance show perfect for audiences aged four to 104!
Watch objects dance, light play and clouds sweep across the sky-like stage in this delightful work.
Fantasy and lots of imagination comes to DanceEast this May when Spanish dance company Aracaladanza present Clouds, a magical production for the entire family, co-commissioned by DanceEast and Sadler’s Wells and last seen at Snape Maltings Concert Hall to critical acclaim.
Clouds is inspired by the magical art of surrealist René Magritte, the Belgian in the bowler hat whose paintings have become the subject of many theories which all try to unravel the significance of his powerful images. In Clouds, a cast of six dancers create an unforgettable world of moving objects, marionettes and dream-like imagery. For example: imagination turns a cloud into a sheep. So do all clouds become sheep, or do all sheep become clouds? This dance show is wildly imaginative, very funny and packed full of energy.
Directed and choreographed by Enrique Cabrera.
Performances: Friday 18th May at 10.30am and Saturday 19th May at 11am and 2pm.
