Alton Water Fun Run – This Weekend

If you are looking for a great family day out this Spring then come along to the Alton Water Run 2012 held on Sunday 13th May at the beautiful Alton Water reservoir in Stutton.

There is a 2k fun run open to any age (little ones can sit happily in the pushchair and get mum or dad to do the hard work!), a 5k run for anyone over the age of 11 and a challenging 10k run for those super fit ones among us!

The Alton Water run is now in its fifth successful year. It is organised by the PTA’s of the four schools that surround the Alton Water Reservoir -Tattingstone, Sutton and Holbrook Primaries and new for 2012, Holbrook High School. All funds raised by the event are split between the four schools but, any other school can enter children and get sponsorship to raise funds for their own school.

This year local businesses, such as NFU Mutual Ipswich, Marriott Motor Group and Raring2go! are working with the schools to make the Suffolk event a really fun and exciting race to run.
There is children’s entertainment including a bouncy castle and face painting as well as delicious BBQ feast. There is a prize for best fancy dress outfit so don’t forget to pop on those bunny ears or superhero mask!

This is a unique event that raises money for all our schools, so come over and see us, bring your sports kit or just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, it is a truly wonderful place to visit.

Registration is online only, so visit www.altonwaterrun.co.uk and book your place today!
