at Pulse Fringe, Ipswich on 26 May at 7.20pm

Hugh Hughes childhood lasted 14 years and 11 days. It started on Thursday August 22nd 1968 and ended on Thursday September 2nd 1982.

Much-loved emerging Welsh artist Hugh Hughes shares the first glimpse of his latest work with Pulse audiences, ahead of its UK tour in the autumn and the launch of a unique new online space in June 2012.

When Hugh Hughes returned to his childhood home in Llangefni, Anglesey to help his mum pack and move house, a tapestry of memories from his past, his family and the town he once called home began to unfold. Now Hugh, with his sister Delyth and brother Derwyn, shares these memories in an unpredictable and funny evening of family stories.
Hoipolloi has staged three award-winning shows by Hugh Hughes: Floating, Story of a Rabbit (which premiered at PULSE in 2007, prior to enjoying world-wide success from the Edinburgh Fringe to New York and the Sydney Opera House) and 360. The Wonderful World of Hugh Hughes presented all three shows as a trilogy alongside a new Hugh Hughes film on tour and at the Barbican in 2010.
