Spa Pavilion announces new season

The Spa Pavilion Felixstowe is still very much open for business and the local theatre has just announced its packed Summer/Winter programme for the remainder of 2012.

A host of stars are lined up for the Summer-Winter season at The Spa

As always there is something for everyone with a selection of entertainment and culture including some fantastic new shows, which are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Kicking off the season Woodbridge based Amateur Theatre group the Company of Four with A Toast unto Her Majesty – a full scale Song and Dance Spectacular celebrating Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Superstar Vocalists Blake will be returning with a wonderfully uplifting show – Love Lifts Us Up, which will include exclusive new material from their eagerly awaited 4th album. Internationally acclaimed ventriloquist Paul Zerdin also returns with his brand new show Puppet Master and Dominic Kirwan widely regarded as one of Ireland’s finest ever entertainers, brings his dynamic and vibrant performing style with his brand-new show Live and Personal.

Other highlights this coming season include the Spa’s 10th Anniversary Summer Youth Project production of The Wedding Singer, Three episodes of Fawlty Towers including the all-time favourite The Germans, The 2012 Fitness Britain Natural Championships which is the most recognized fitness and natural bodybuilding show across the UK and Europe! September sees a very special show by the people who use this theatre the most – the local Amateur Dramatics Companies. One Night Only promises to be a fantastic show and one you simply won’t want to miss.

Continuing the celebrations throughout the season are Ipswich Operatic and Dramatics Society with their new production Celebration 2012. Seaside Special returns in October following a successful Summer Season in Cromer as does BBC Suffolk’s very popular Big Night Out.

For the younger audience member there’s Milkshake! Live in November, this all singing, all dancing live stage show starring milkshake! favourites: Little Princess and Scruff, Noddy and Tessie Bear, Roary and Big Chris, Fifi and Bumble and B1 & B2 – the Bananas in Pyjamas, this musical spectacular is sure to have children tapping their toes, clapping their hands and singing at the top of their voices and in December The Owl who was afraid of the Dark comes to the Spa Pavilion, based on the bestselling children’s classic by Jill Tomlinson, this gentle, reassuring tale is brought to life with an irresistible blend of live music, puppetry and storytelling.

There are far too many great shows to mention this season including kids shows, dance Shows, Comedy and Music, so whether you are a regular visitor to the Spa Pavilion Theatre or you have never ventured to this fantastic venue before take a look at what shows are on offer, there is sure to be something to suit your taste and a warm welcome always awaits at this great seaside theatre.
