Appeal over Ipswich Robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery took place in Ipswich.

The incident happened on the corner of Birkfield Drive and Gippeswyk Road at approximately 2.15am on Wednesday 27 June . The male victim was approached by two men on bicycles. One of the men asked the victim for the time before dragging him into Gippeswyk park and assaulting him. The victim had his mobile phone, silver ring, tobacco and bag stolen.

The victim sustained bruising to the face from the incident.

The offenders are both described as black men, aged between 18 to 20-years-old, both of a skinny build and were wearing dark clothing, had their hoods up and wore gloves.

Anyone with information about the incident or recognises the men described is asked to call Ipswich Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
