Spa Theatre stresses it’s still open

The message is simple – The Spa Pavilion Theatre in Felixstowe is still operating and has a fantastic new season of shows running from July – Early January.

It cannot be denied that times are tough at the moment but management at The Spa Pavilion Theatre in Felixstowe want to assure their current customers and also want to reach out to those that have maybe not been to the seaside venue before that they are very much open for business and can offer a great night out.

Julie Howes, Theatre Manager “The theatre has obviously been in the press a lot recently with doom and gloom talks about its uncertain future but as manager of this wonderful 892 seat venue I want to let people know that we are still very much open at present and that what happens in the future happens in the future. We have to concentrate on what is available right now and for the Spa Pavilion that is a fantastic selection of shows programmed and running until the end of Pantomime at the beginning of January”

The Spa Pavilion Theatre has just opened their new season with Unto Her Majesty, a song and dance spectacular presented by the Company of Four who has not performed in the venue for a number of years.

“We have had more local companies and dance schools enquire about hiring the venue who have gone onto book than we ever have in the past which is great for the venue including the Co-Op Juniors, Jumpstart and Kesgrave Co-Op Dance Class”

On 2nd September the venue will be playing host to the 2012 Fitness Britain Natural Championships. Growing bigger every year this event is classed as the most recognised fitness and natural body building show across the UK and Europe. Local company U-Phorm who are the organisers of the event chose the Spa Pavilion because of its location and the fact that they wanted to bring something different to the town.

Paul Zerdin, the internationally acclaimed ventriloquist, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Cromer Pier’s Summer Seaside Special and adventurer, documentary maker and author Mark Beaumont will all be returning to the venue this season. New shows this year include Totally Tina, Elvis he Ultimate Performance, Classical Diva’s, Celtic Dream, Junk and I Love the 70’s available to book with a special pre-show Christmas meal so great for office and company party nights out.

Jongleurs Comedy Club will also be a new feature for the venue this season with a date set for Friday 26th October – tickets are priced at just £12.00 a head so extremely affordable for a night of comedy and details of the comedians who will be playing are due to be release in the next couple of weeks.
