Movers and Shakers Promotions have announced they will be presenting Ralph McTell at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds on Sunday 11th November.

Songwriter and master of the acoustic guitar, Ralph McTell takes to the road this Autumn to perform 30 dates across the UK. The English Heartbeat Tour, is set to launch the much anticipated, Volume 2 of “Songs For Six Strings” – a collection of hand-picked live recordings that will eventually comprise of a six CD collection. Ralph’s current album, “Somewhere Down The Road” continues to attract critical acclaim – whilst prior to beginning the tour, he was to be found, this last summer, in the studio, near his home in Cornwall, working on a guitar only – instrumental album – which is planned to be released in UK this Autumn.

Ralph McTell (the quintessential English songwriter) has quietly, celebrated being English his entire life – with songs like, The Streets Of London, England 1914, Barges, The London Apprentice, and, the aptly titled, England – amongst many others, – and 2012 being the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and the UK hosting the Olympics – McTell’s “English Heartbeat” Tour is sure to celebrate and congratulate many of his favourite and, indeed, not so favourite aspects of this green and pleasant land…
