Pro Face Painters want to ‘Mo You Up’

Do you want to join in with Movember but don’t have the time (or the Y-chromosomes) to grow a furry lip friend? Are you in love with the ‘Mo’ fashions flooding the clothes shops and markets at the ‘mo’?

If yes…The East Anglian Paint Posse (a team of professional face-painters) want to ‘Mo-you-up’! The team are appearing at Tower Ramparts Shopping centre on Thursday 22nd November to decorate shoppers with the painted moustache of their dreams, for donations to the men’s health charity. See http://uk.movember.com/team/887297 for more details on their Mo-paint events.

Since the campaign started with 30 ‘Mo-Bro’s in Australia in 2003, Movember has been raising funds for, and the profile of, men’s health specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer. 2011 saw 854,288 Mo’s across the world. The money raised in the UK goes to Movember programmes Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Painter Steff Evans says; ”My brother raised over £1000 last Movember! He was just recovering from cancer himself. So I’d love to be able to do something too.” Painter Liz Bone added “My husband had a prostatitis scare a few years ago, and it just brings home the importance of regular checks. Men shouldn’t be scared to go to the doctor.”

Tower Ramparts is open for its first late night shopping evening until 9pm and you can find the Mo-painters between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
