Snow: Ipswich Bins & Parks

Ipswich Borough Council refuse crews are today battling to collect bins wherever possible. Black and blue bin collections are operating normally but brown bin collections have been suspended for today (Monday 21st Jan 2013).

The message is: Don’t leave your brown bins out today but do leave your blue and black bins for collection: if not picked up at the normal time, the crews will do their best later on or as soon as possible.

Parks are open but the Council has again issued a warning to people not to walk across the ponds – what could look like fun could turn into an accident. Notices are displayed but parks bosses have reminded everyone that ponds are dangerous areas, especially for children. The Council is also advising residents and visitors to take care on any untreated pavements or paths.

The Shopmobility service at the Buttermarket Shopping Centre is closed today. Customers can call 01473 222225 on Monday for further information.
