Easter fun at the coast

Suffolk Coastal is offering a host of exciting activities to keep the children’s Easter holiday boredom at bay this April.

Children can join in a fun session of baking and tasting at Mollie Joe’s Cupcakery, develop their skills on a mountain bike in a safe environment with British Cycling qualified coaches in Rendlesham Forest or spend a day or two improving their fishing knowledge in sessions at Bromeswell Lakes and Swilland.

Also available are sessions where children can create their own teddy or other animal friend at Build a Bear, or learn how to make their own short animated film using 3D models or 2D drawings which can be taken home on memory sticks or uploaded to the internet.

Most of the activities are for children aged seven and over, or aged 10 and over for the mountain biking.

“From fishing to cycling to animation workshops the Council has brought together a wide variety of activities for young people during the Easter holidays. There’s always a big demand so make sure to book well in time to avoid missing out!” said Cllr Geoff Holdcroft, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Economic Development.

“With the district’s four leisure centres run by DC Leisure, as well as our play areas and skate parks there should be plenty to keep the children amused whatever the weather,” added Cllr Holdcroft
